X Spec™ by MAI

Next generation equine speculum, an enhancement of the original Alumi Spec™, known and trusted throughout the industry. Same aircraft grade aluminum with a durable powder coat finish, as the original Alumi Spec™, but with a wider design to accommodate digital radiographic plates. It’s recommended for use with sedated animals and has been tested on hundreds of patients in equine dental practices. Its patented design features replaceable synthetic straps in a “cinch-lock” locking system, allowing infinite degrees of access to the oral cavity, with a net weight of only 2.8 kg.

AlumiSpec™ by MAI

The original aluminium speculum made by MAI, it is also in lightweight aluminum, and is narrower than the X Spec. It weighs only 2.5 kg. The durability of the Alumi Spec™ and the X Spec™ is not compromised by their lightweight designs. I’ve been using an AlumiSpec™ for the past 14 years!
