Blue Mist Equine’s state of the art occlusal equilibration (teeth floating) system offers the ultimate in patient, handler and operator safety. Advances in the HDE EVOLUTION 4-IR include constant water irrigation and your choice of burrs from diamond discs to many rotary ones, including a special tiny burr for the 11s, the teeth at the very back of the mouth–a location that’s difficult to access with most power or hand floats.
The diamond discs and burrs quickly and efficiently remove the sharp points and overgrowths that have been cutting into your horses cheeks and tongue while sparing the delicate soft tissues of the mouth. Constant water cooling minimises the dangerous transfer of heat to the live areas of teeth (the pulp and its odontoblast processes) to prevent tooth damage and death which may occur with power floating systems without water cooling and flushing.
Our first-time clients are usually astonished at how much MOUTH they can see with good lights and a full mouth speculum in a sedated horse. We’re impressed with the amount of pathology we can see, too, and not miss, as so many of us have done in the past.
Blue Mist Equine has a Portable DR (Digital Radiography) X-Ray System, which shows instantly on our computers.
Our lightweight portable X-ray unit with laser beam pointer and digital system helps us properly diagnose your horse’s dental or oral conditions.
Blue Mist Equine’s Milennium and Alumi-Spec Speculums
Our XSpec and Millenium Spec, are wonderful speculums which allows excellent visualisation of oral structures and provides plenty of room to work within the mouth. The XSpec is excellent for using during radiography!
